Having food allergies often causes many Ohio residents and people elsewhere to pay close attention to the food they consume. It was recently reported that Frito Lay has issued a recall for it’s Stacy’s Simply Naked Pita Chips. The Simply Naked chips essentially have no added flavor ingredients, but in this situation, another flavor of chips was put into the Simply Naked packaging. As a result, consumers may purchase a bag of chips thinking that they do not have any added flavor ingredients only to be exposed to a possible milk allergen.
The report indicated that at least one allergic reaction had been reported in connection with the packing mix up. It was not disclosed how severe the reaction to the product was. The recall reportedly affects 228 bags of the Stacy’s Simply Naked Pita Chips, and no other Stacy’s brand products are affected.
