On Behalf of | Dec 27, 2019 | Auto Accidents, Truck & Bike Accidents

Head-on collisions can be some of the worst accidents to take place on roadways. In most cases, individuals do not have enough time to react and get out of the way before an on-coming vehicle crashes into their vehicle. Unfortunately, a head-on crash can easily lead to severe injuries for those involved.

It was recently reported that a head-on collision took place in Ohio. According to reports, a woman, whose age was given as 21 years old, was traveling north when she failed to stay in the correct lane. As a result, her vehicle collided with another vehicle that was traveling in the southbound lane. The driver of the southbound vehicle was reported as being a 34-year-old man. A 34-year-old female passenger and a 6-year-old child were also involved in the incident.

Everyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The wrong-way driver, the female passenger and the child were all taken to area hospitals by ambulance. The man was taken from the scene by medical helicopter. The details of their injuries were not given, but none were considered life-threatening. It was noted that authorities suspected impairment to have contributed to the accident, but no charges had been filed at the time of the report.

The individuals involved in this head-on crash are undoubtedly thankful to be alive. Of course, their injuries may take a considerable amount of time to recover from, and they could face a number of other hardships as a result of this Ohio incident. It may be wise for the injured parties to consider their legal options for seeking compensation for allowable damages from the driver considered at fault to help mitigate the financial impacts of those hardships.
