Head-on collisions can be some of the worst accidents to take place on roadways. According to reports, a woman, whose age was given as 21 years old, was traveling north when she failed to stay in the correct lane. As a result, her vehicle collided with another vehicle that was traveling in the southbound lane. The driver of the southbound vehicle was reported as being a 34-year-old man. A 34-year-old female passenger and a 6-year-old child were also involved in the incident.
Everyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The wrong-way driver, the female passenger and the child were all taken to area hospitals by ambulance. The man was taken from the scene by medical helicopter. The details of their injuries were not given, but none were considered life-threatening. It was noted that authorities suspected impairment to have contributed to the accident, but no charges had been filed at the time of the report.
The individuals involved in this head-on crash are undoubtedly thankful to be alive.
